The green extract of tea can help prevents the type-2 diabeteses by the tolerance of improved glucose

(NewsTarget) A new study by DSM the spectacles of Nutritious Products that epigallocatechin gallate, ordinarily known as EGCG, improves tolerance of glucose in the diabetic rodents and could be a positive addition to the dietary obstacle of type 2 diabeteses, if the results can be applied to the humans.

"To our knowledge, we furnish the first proof that EGCG consumed in the system exercises the activity of powerful antidiabetic in vivo in a manner depending on the dose," wrote the advance author Swen Wolfram of DSM in the Newspaper of Nutrition.

The study looked at 37 male mice that were harshly diabetic, and divided them in four groups. The rats were nourished 2.5, 5 or 10 grams of EGCG by the kilogram of system, or a placebo, for seven weeks.

To the brand of five weeks, the researchers tried tolerance of oral glucose and found that the glucose levels reduces by 23, 35 and 48 percent in the 2.5-, 5- and categories of 10 grams respectively. To six weeks in the study, the scientists tried tolerance of insulin and the blood samples were taken at the end of the test to analyze glucose, liberate fatty acids and the levels of triacylglyceride. All improved one on a basis depending on the dose.

The researchers studied also the effects of 5 grams of EGCG by the kilogram of system on a period of 10 weeks on the rats doucesment diabetic and found as the tolerance of glucose, the blood glucose levels, and liberate concentrations of plasma acids fatty all improved one. The analysis of cells of liver of rat revealed that EGCG down regulated the genes implied in gluconeogenesis and the synthesis of fatty acids, triacylglycerol and the cholesterol.

"Our data suggest that the supplementation with EGCG improves potentially tolerance of glucose in the humans with the type-2 mellitus of diabetes," concluded the researchers. "This hypothesis now should be examined in the processes placebos random controlled". Wolfram said that DSM wants to begin such process soon.

To the United States, the people of more than 20 million suffer from the diabetes -- almost 7 percent of the population -- and almost 19 million people in the European Union if are afflicted -- almost 4 percent of the population. The cost to treat the disease is about $132 billions, according to the Diabetes Association American.
